I love Katherine Jenkins’ cover of Bring me to Life however the best part about the whole thing was when Katherine was asked in an interview why she loved the original and she said “I just loved the original singers voice, she has such a trained voice. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

The first song I heard of Evanescence was “My Immortal”. I was probably around 8 or 9 years old then. When I first heard it, I felt some connection, I loved the song because it was so beautiful to me as a child. Over the years I heard about Evanescence here and there especially when it came to “Bring Me To Life” and “Call Me When You’re Sober”. I never came interested in them until I started listening to “My Immortal” again many years later. The next thing I knew, I was downloading every single one of their songs and had a connection with every single one. Evanescence is the only band that I have downloaded all their albums including their unreleased work. Evanescence changed my life in so many ways since then….and I am forever grateful <3

I hate it when people say that they can’t stand people who claims that they’re a fan of Evanescence, but their favorite song is “My Immortal” or “Bring Me To Life”. I know all their songs by heart, I’m in love with every single song and yet, my favorite song is “My Immortal”. So because of that they don’t see me as a fan? It’s just stupid.

I love Evanescence and every single song of them, but I just CAN’T live if I don’t listen to Bring Me To Life everyday of my life.
