Back at the end of 2003 and beginning of 2004, I was going through a really hard time and I developed a very bad cutting habit and I seriously wanted to end my life. I was in and out of hospitals. Until I discovered Evanescence and I can say without their music helping me, I wouldn’t be here today. Their music taught me that everyone feels depressed but it’s not worth ending your life because it does get better. Amy’s voice helped me the most, I felt she was singing directly to me and telling me to be strong and to take this sadness inside of me and make something beautiful out of it. I will forever be grateful to them and to her.
