I don’t understand why people get so upset about them being labeled gothic metal. If you go on wikipedia and look up gothic metal, evanescence is listed there. It’s not like there isn’t reason for it and people just made it up. The music industry, wikipedia, and most people categorize them that way, along with Lacuna Coil, HIM, Cradle of Filth, etc. If you don’t agree fine, you are entitled to, but quit trying to treat everyone else like they are stupid and don’t know anything about music.
